    Cabille is a secluded and peaceful place deep in the countryside for families and couples to enjoy quality time together. 

    With practical and modern accommodation and the pool close at hand, Cabille is a very popular choice for a typical '2+2' family or a couple who are looking for somewhere very quiet in the country.  A very private east facing terrace is a great place to start the day or to seek shade during the heat of the day

    Cabille is at the end of its own road in, and with quiet roads to get to it, walkers and cyclists have peaceful places to get out and about.

  • Arriving at Cabille, Le Rosier is on the left and separated from the Owner's house by a small driveway where there is plenty of parking space.

    Entering through the doors just off the Parking area, the first impression is of wood, where the Owner's careful renovation has left the ceiling beams and supports exposed, with the stairs and furniture also being made of polished wood: Complementary floor tiles enhance the warm ambience.

    The Ground floor is given over completely to a spacious open plan Kitchen /Dining /Living room with doors directly onto the pool terrace also. 
    The fitted kitchen is equipped with a hob and oven with extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. 
    The pine Dining table is in a country style and contrasts with the dark leather covered sofas in the Sitting area at the other end of the room.

    A modern wooden staircase leads to the First floor, where all rooms lead off the landing. The spacious Master Double bedroom has a wardrobe and a window overlooking the pool. There is also a supplementary single bed if required. 

    The Twin Bedroom at the other end of the landing area has two single beds, with a window overlooking the pool.

    Also off the landing is the Shower room, with basin, and a separate WC.  A further door on the landing gives access through a room with a bar billiards table to a very private east facing terrace bordering open fields.

    The house can be heated by electric radiators if required.

  • Besides the east-facing terrace mentioned above,  the Swimming pool and sun terrace are immediately outside the downstairs room. The pool measures 10 x 5m, with a hardcover and can be heated. The water purity is controlled with salt. There are also Roman steps for ease of access.  Sun loungers and other pool items are provided.

    The Owners live in a separate house on-site and may occasionally use the pool.

    Barbecue facilities are under the covered terrace at the end of the pool, and there is also a bar there to keep food, drinks and utensils at a convenient height.

    Beyond Cabille there is rolling countryside with great views for walkers and cyclists, with the quiet country roads giving great space to exercise pets which are welcome (with prior approval) at Cabille.

  • 'Extremely rural' is a great description for Cabille, with the nearest shops at Le Sauvetat de Savères about 5km away for everyday needs. For supermarket shopping, Valence d'Agen or Bon Encontre on the outskirts of Agen is nearest, both approximately 12km (8 miles)

    Cabille sits on the edge of a ridge of high ground, and both from Cabille itself and from many places around there are glorious countryside views to admire.

    The whole area is rich in food production, with many vineyards and wineries in the area offering tastings and offers. Besides these is a wealth of soft fruit production, in particular plums for production of the noted prunes in nearby Agen (Pruneaux d'Agen website). Also grown are apples, pears, apricots and peaches alongside walnuts and hazelnuts.

    Many of these products, both raw and conserved, are available directly from artisan producers at weekly markets held in most large villages and towns every week: A list of the markets is under The Area menu at the top of this page.

    Restaurants may be hard to find close to Cabille, but once down into the area along the Garonne between Agen and Valence d'Agen there are many to be found.
    A couple of restaurants are listed at Laroque Timbaut to the north of Cabille as well. The friendly English Owners will be able to advise also.

    This is an area rich in history, with many medieval villages still much as they were 600 years ago: To the east and north are 'bastide' villages, usually fortified on hilltops, with narrow streets lined with timber-framed buildings leading off the main square. Great examples are Tournon d'Agenais and Lauzerte. The village of Pujols, just south of Villeneuve Sur Lot, along with Lauzerte, is listed as one of 'Les plus beaux villages de France' and has an almost unspoilt medieval centre that is well worth visiting.

    Bordeaux or Toulouse are easy journeys once you reach Agen, and en route to Toulouse, you will also pass the scenic town of Montauban, famed for its rose red buildings and scenic riverside settings.

    • All prices include Linen (Bed linen, bathroom towels & kitchen towels). Pool towels and baby linen are not included unless otherwise stated.
    • Cot, High Chair & Playpen are available to hire at £15/week/item - Please indicate these items on your Booking Form.
    • A Security Deposit is also payable, and this is usually refunded (less any deductions) within one week of the end of your stay.
    • Cleaning at the end of your stay is not included: It may be available as an option, but this (and any other services required) should be booked well in advance of your stay to ensure availability.

How to make a provisional booking.

Booking - Click on the start date of your holiday, then on the departure date of your holiday. you will then see a pop-up box with the chosen dates and availability. Click the  "BOOK NOW"  button which will show the provisional booking form to fill out. Enter your details, payment methods and any extra services required then click the continue button at the bottom. You will then be shown a payment summary but you will not be asked to make any payment online

Payment - Payment can be made by any of the following methods in £GBP or €EUR .
