"What the owner says" |
Mas de Roujol is situated on a ridge alongside the village of Brassac in the department of Tarn et Garonne, and is surrounded by 75 acres of its own land. The owners keep horses, which are kept in nearby paddocks. The barn was renovated to an exceptionally high standard 8 years ago, and commands superb views south across the valley. The spacious accommodation, able to sleep 10 provides cool living areas during the summer with covered al fresco dining and open terraces. During the winter months the open log fire and under-floor central heating, make for a cosy snug holiday base with plenty of space and things to do. Part of the accommodation is a self contained apartment which sleeps 2 and can be reserved separately some weeks of the year. Nearest main towns: Moissac, Lauzerte and Valence d'Agen - 20 minutes.
Mas de
Roujol
is an attractively converted barn that sleeps 10 in total. The
original timbers have been retained and combine with plastered walls and
a new stone floor to give it a light airy feel. There is private access
from the drive/parking area through an attractive covered terrace. The
large terrace features full height french doors to the house. At one end
is a dining area with fitted seats for outdoor dining.
The huge
living room is open to the roof beams and provides a cool and relaxing
sitting, dining and kitchen area, off which is a family bathroom. Three
sets of double doors open on to the al fresco dining area. The kitchen
is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave and toaster.
At one end of the main living room are four
bedrooms on two levels. On
the ground floor down a few steps are two bedrooms with a shower room
and WC between; one has a king size bed the other a double; french doors
from each lead onto a terrace. On the first floor off a small landing
are two further bedrooms with WC and basin between; these have twin
beds. There is an
adjoining laundry room with washing machines, tumble dryer, drying
racks, steam press, irons and ironing board.
The Shale Suite: The one bedroom apartment (which can be accessed directly, or from the main sitting room) has french doors opening onto the pool, a sitting room, fully equipped galley kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with a 4 poster super king-size bed. French doors open onto its own private terrace commanding magnificent views over the fields and valley below. The Shale suite provides very grand master bedroom facilities for a party of 10 but may be let separately some weeks of the year.
The oval 14x5m pool has a terrace with teak tables & chairs, sun loungers and umbrellas and a stunning view over the valley. There are a variety of board games and books available in the gite for use by guests; a ping pong table with bats and balls; outdoor toys, bikes and play equipment for younger guests; a 10' trampoline with safety nets - for all ages!; numerous country walks and cycle trails in the immediate local area.
