Montcuq: A lively village dominated by the 12c Tour Comtale with a superb Sunday morning market, restaurants leisure lake and local shops.

La Maison du Paradis has been lovingly built in traditional Quercynoise style but has all modern comforts and conveniences. It is situated in over 5 hectares and the small pathways on the hillside open into the surrounding footpaths where guests can walk for hours. There are many interesting architectural details, and lots of original materials have been creatively used which give the feeling that the house has always been there. The village of Montcuq (7km) has a good range of shops and a bustling Sunday morning market and St.Daunes is just 3km. Nearest main town: Cahors – 20 minutes

 

Accommodation: The house has private parking and gardens and is separate from the owners house. Patio doors (with electric shutters) enter into the light and spacious open plan sitting and dining room with oak beamed ceiling. The gallery kitchen is well equipped with microwave, mini oven, ceramic hob, and general electrical equipment. Shower-room with wc and basin. A half wall in colombage style separates the bedroom from the sitting room. 

The cottage is well furnished, is double glazed and has electric heating. Mature trees provide good shade for al fresco dining. and the views of the historic village with its 12th century church and tower are fabulous. A small pathway leads down through the woods to a fish pond that has a second sitting area for guests to relax. The pool is decked, has lovely views and is well equipped with leisure furniture.
