Couly Bas is set in 2 hectares of gardens and woodland, on a south facing hillside overlooking the stunningly beautiful valley of the Seoune, just outside the pretty village of Touffailles. This lovely old farmhouse, surrounded by fields of sunflowers, has its origins in the 15th century. It has been completely restored, retaining its original character, with traditional stonework, ancient beams and fireplaces, and now provides a charming country home with light airy rooms and central heating. Nearest main town: Moissac 20 minutes
Accommodation: The entrance hall has a sofa bed and stairs to the upper floor. Inner hall with laundry/boiler/storage room. Main bathroom: bath, shower and wc. At the rear of the hall is the large master bedroom/sitting room that is well furnished and has a four poster bed. This attractive room has French doors to a private patio with views over the parkland.
First floor: Spacious well-equipped farmhouse kitchen with a beautiful old tiled fireplace and a decorative stove and a large pine table and chairs. The sitting/dining room has comfortable seating, country antiques, radio/tape/cd and tv/video/dvd. Double bedroom with pretty decorative stove, twin bedroom, and shower-room with wc and basin.
Upper floor: This enormous room has a fascinating old beamed ceiling, four single beds and a large play area with a folding pool table.
The superb pool is fully terraced with roman steps. There is a large open barn of great character that provides garage space and a covered dining area with BBQ, and games area. The gardens are well planted and there is plenty of garden furniture and games equipment.
